Within the first five minutes of having met, my friend asked me, "what's your lore?"
Obviously I didn't answer the full truth (that would've been a bit tmi), but I thought it in my head.
My friend went on to describe his theory of how most people who are unconventionally successful early in life have lore, a negative canon event that triggered them to become how they are now. That's the most common way people get a long burst of motivation that increases their pain tolerance (discipline). It's the most common thing that pushes one to keep on keep on going.
Of course there are other ways people build this discipline and get into this flow, but other than that it's hard to enstill the discipline to actually work on your projects on nights and weekends instead of slaving away on instagram reels. Life needs to be intentional.
